For now, it's just me. Kirsten Kooistra. Striving to become a diesel mechanic and run my own stables. I am a senior at Hills-Beaver Creek and going to Alexandria Tech School in Alexandria, MN.
I grew up on a farm my whole life outside the small town of Beaver Creek, MN. I was riding in the tractor with my dad before I could even walk. From the day I started helping my brother fix the tractors and trucks, I knew I wanted to be a diesel mechanic. Your probably asking why a girl would want to do such a dirty job. It's like a puzzle, you piece everything together little by little and no matter how bad the problem is, you can alway fix it. I guess thats what I tried to do to my parents when they got divorced. I also turned to horses. I've been riding and working with horses since I was six years old. It all started with lessons and then turned into me saving up money to get my very own thoroughbred horse. I trained and worked him endless hours everyday. His the best horse I have today by far. I have five of my own, but I also work with people's horses. I train them and help troubled horses. I hope one day to open my stables so I can train, and help troubled horses. |
